I'm letting these go.....

I'm trying hard to clean my home out. So this past weekend I took the plunge and started in my clothes closet. It's hard to keep things especially if there is sentimental memories to them. I 'm letting these Dexter slouch boots go. They are vintage of the early 80's. I didn't want to take them just yet to the good will, so if you happened to be interested in them send me a convo through Etsy. Sorry will only send in the US since it's on me for the shipment. The size is 7 1/2 and they are knee high length. The only thing that is not in good condition is the bottom of the heels. The protector is worn away on both boots. Otherwise the boots leather are in great condition.

Awesome artist Patrick Dougherty

Ames is very fortunate to have this artist come and do his marvelous creations from sticks. We have a park called Ada Hayden (dedicated to the first women who received her doctorate degree from Iowa State) where Patrick Dougherty website: just spent his time creating this wonderful maze out of sticks. He uses cocoons, hives and lairs built from animals also. He does ask for volunteers to help him. Darn I missed it. But now I can go to the park and enjoy this wonderful creation. Here is a few pictures I have taken and my son is in them. My son did meet him and he also received his autograph.
This is inside the maze.

Shrinky Dinks?

I decided to enter a challenge for the Etsy beagles Street team and I had no idea what to do. I read an article online about shrinky dinks. Maybe you are familiar with them but I was not. So I decided to go buy some and give it a try. I thought since it said for kids 5-100 this would be easy. It was challenging just to practice. It was fun watching the plastic shrink in the oven right before your eyes but then the next time I looked where did it go? All curled up. Okay that was not what I wanted. It took me several tries just to get 2 alike. Here is my shrinky dink paw earrings..........
